New Schools in Cherokee County GA

Some schools that are getting close to capacity will be getting relief with the opening of several new schools within the next few years. This year two new elementary schools were unveiled: John Knox Elementary school in the River Green community and Canton Elementary located next to Cherokee High School. Another new high school is slated for opening in 2010 (Creekview High opened several years ago) and several more elementary schools will be opening between 2011 and 2012. As Cherokee County continues to grow - infrastructure will have to be improved and grow also. So far the county has done a pretty good job keeping up with the population increase — hopefully this trend will continue in the future.
